iPhone hacker breaks the PS3

The PS3 may have finally been hacked by George Hotz, the man responsible for the Jailbreak bypass on the iPhone. Hotz (known online as GeoHot) claimed on his blog on Friday to have gained read/write access to the system memory and also HV level access to the processor, after just five weeks’ work.

Hotz is yet to post up any further details, but has promised updates through his blog.
